Hydrothermal conversion consists of a thermal process of wastes with moisture higher than 65%. It takes place under relatively high pressure, under temperatures of approximately 250°C. In the process, all toxic and polluting organic compounds (drugs, hormones, pesticides and narcotics), and also all harmful chemical combinations such as pathogens (bacteria, virus and fungi) that may be in the processed wastes, are destroyed.
